ST. LEONARD, N.B. — Twelve million honey bees were on the loose Monday in northwest New Brunswick after a truck overturned on the Trans-Canada Highway.

Police say the transport truck, carrying 330 crates of bees, was travelling on a ramp on the highway near St. Leonard when the load shifted and the truck overturned.

Twelve people, including a 7-year-old girl and a pregnant woman, are in hospital after eating poisoned rice at a diner in Haikou, capital of south China's island province of Hainan, local health official said on Monday.
