Whitehall 'stifling online debate'...

Government departments need to be bolder in the way they use the internet to engage with the public, a study of Whitehall websites has concluded.

Research by the Hansard Society into the way the internet can be used to let people take part in online consultations and debates found that the worst forums would stifle discussions that were critical of Government policy.

NHS patients have paid £4.5 billion in dentistry charges since 1997 despite almost two million people losing their dentist, the Tories claimed.
