Kaying Hang last month began a new position of ProgramOfficer at the Otto Bremer Foundation.
Previously,Hang served for more than five years as a program officer at the Blue Cross andBlue Shield of Minnesota Foundation. She finds the transition from working as aprogram officer at a corporate foundation to a private independent foundationto be exciting.
Atthe Blue Cross Foundation, Hang staffed the statewide grantmaking effortsrelated to a funding priority of Òhelping people with unique cultural needsnavigate the healthcare systemÓ. In addition, she project-managed thedevelopment and launch of two Blue Cross Foundation initiatives: ÒCriticalLinks,Ó an initiative to promote the use of Community Health Workers inMinnesota; and a guideline-based program called ÒHealthy Together,Ó a long-termgrant-making program to improve the health of immigrants and refugees inMinnesota.
