COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Share prices were lower in midmorning trade in line with overnight falls on Wall Street, led by a drop in AP Moeller-Maersk shares, brokers said.
At 10.55 am, the OMXC20 index was 3.93 points lower at 344.38 and the OMXCB Benchmark index 3.29 points lower at 318.94.
AP Moeller-Maersk shares were hit by a weaker dollar and continued concerns over falling freight rates, its A-shares falling 1,200 dkr to 53,300 and its B-shares down 1,100 at 54,800.
The weaker dollar also weighed on health care stocks, with Novo Nordisk down 1 at 303.5, Lundbeck down 0.75 at 145.5, Novozymes down 5.5 at 331, and Coloplast down 5 at 342.
TDC was down 1.5 at 331. TDC's CEO Henning Dyremose said in an interview with Finnish business magazine Talouselama that the Danish telecoms group is interested in buying Finnish mobile phone operator DNA from Finnet.
William Demant Holding was down 7.5 at 279 and GN Store Nord was unchanged at 74.5.
Copenhagen Airports, meanwhile, rose 24 to 1,510, recovering yesterday's fall when a Bulgarian court ruled that the group's agreement for the concession for operating Varna and Burgas airports is invalid.
Danske Bank was down 0.75 at 188.25 while Nordea was up 0.25 at 58.75.
